10 Ideas WWE Blatantly STOLE From WCW

4. ‘Mr. Ass’ = The Booty Man

Billy Gunn once loved to pick 'em, kick 'em, watch 'em and stick 'em. He was very much as "ass man" who went by the provocative name "Mr. Ass". It was sophomoric humour typical of the late-90s in pro wrestling, but again...it wasn't totally fresh. WCW beat the WWF to it.

Ladies and gents, "The Booty Man".

That 1995-1996 gimmick was played by former WWF star Ed 'Brutus Beefcake' Leslie. He was obsessed with his own butt, and even had "The Booty Babe" (Kimberly Page) in his corner for matches. Of course, this predated Gunn's own ass-inine antics by a few years, but nobody really talks about that.

Who knew that Billy Gunn could take such a stupid concept and turn it into gold? He did, but Leslie didn't. If anything, his silly run as "The Booty Man" was ill-fitting for WCW's product pre-nWo, and it flopped harder than he had as The Butcher, The Zodiac or any other temp character.
