5. Bart Gunn Is Knocked Out At WrestleMania XV

Bart Gunn was the winner of WWE's first and (thankfully) only Brawl For All tournament, which was held throughout the summer of 1998. The tournament put some of WWE's toughest wrestlers in a boxing competition to see who was the toughest fighter among the boys in the locker room. Gunn won the tournament after beating Bob Holly, Steve Williams, The Godfather and finally Bradshaw in the finals. The tournament was designed to put over "Dr. Death" Steve Williams as a badass heel that could challenge Steve Austin for the WWE Title further down the line. When Gunn knocked him out, that plan was thrown out the window and WWE realized they had to do something with Gunn (besides pay him his handsome bonus for winning the tournament). That led to Gunn having a boxing match with professional boxer Butterbean at WrestleMania XV in 1999. Gunn was totally outmatched and knocked out within 35 seconds, which basically put an end to his WWE career. Your stock doesn't recover after such a high-profile thrashing. Shorty after the loss to Butterbean, Bart was released by WWE and wasn't brought back as a full-timer again. He went on to work in Japan and numerous other places but his WWE career was clearly finished.
