10 Important Decisions AEW Have To Make

A nagging issue so far has been the lack of chemistry in the announce team. Jim Ross has had moments of losing his place and losing focus. Excalibur has done a good job trying to remove and protect that rust. And Alex Marvez has... showed up. Yeah let's be nice and leave it at that. Anyway, the collection of talent has not truly meshed in a cohesive way to this point and this needs to be addressed.

AEW has multiple candidates they could look to if they want to replace Marvez and/or Excalibur. Or they could simply go with the idea of bringing in guests to accompany Ross in the booth every week. The key point here is to keep JR front and center. A lot of people are going to tune in to hear that voice again, so make sure it is presented at the forefront.

JR is one of the greatest to ever do it, and his stamp of approval for AEW has been an immeasurable leap forward for their brand's credibility. But so far they have dropped the ball a bit in his usage. A few small tweaks and by October, we could be looking at the best booth in wrestling television. It isn't like WWE is anywhere near the strongest they have been with their commentary teams. That man who carried it for so long already left to call slobberknockers elsewhere.
