10 Most Improved WWE Wrestlers Of 2014

2. Damien Mizdow

It's been quite the year for the man that we used to know as Damien Sandow. Late in 2013 he was holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, he cashed in on John Cena, lost a very competitive matchup and it looked like that performance would lead to great things for him. Instead, he was stuck in the midcard with no direction. Things started to click for him when he started doing impressions of other wrestlers or dressing up in an outfit to either upset the local fans or just make them laugh. This is something that WWE has tried with other wrestlers over the years when they had nothing for them. Sometimes it works. Other times it just looks stupid. Remember when he was imitating Vince McMahon? That was classic.
In Damien's case, he made it work. When they paired him up with The Miz as his stunt double it was the perfect thing for him. Who knew? The whole concept sounds ridiculous when you think about it, but any time they are out there together it's a lot of fun. We don't even care that it's silly. We just like laughing at it and the crowd cheering for Mizdow makes it that much greater. This guy is going to get a huge ovation when he breaks from Miz and becomes a babyface star on his own. What's great about this current angle is that it has made Damien a bigger star. The guy deserves it as much as anybody. He's been in WWE system for over a decade. He always had the talent. It's just that he finally got over the hump.
