10 Improvements UFC Has To Make
7. Alter Fight Pass
Similar to the WWE Network, UFC's Fight Pass offers fans the chance to watch live UFC events and replays, whilst also containing the libraries of PRIDE, Strikeforce, WFA and EliteXC.
As of this moment, the company claims to have 450,000 subscribers, but you can bet they'd like to improve on that number and here's how they could.
Due to the fact that UFC want to keep their PPV numbers sky high, don't expect them to start throwing all of their live 'big money' fights onto the service. Yet, if they made the occasional live super fight available on the service, it would definitely entice a few more fans into signing up. Even if the company did run the risk of losing a bit of money on a one-off mega scrap, they could recoup those lost dollars from their new monthly subscribers.
Offering a download option - for those instances when fans are offline - would also give the service another dimension and encourage die-hards to build a personal library that they can access whenever they like.
Also, the fights on YouTube are great, but why would you pay for an awesome contest that you can watch for free?
These small tweaks aren't breaking the mould by any means, yet they're almost certain to get that subscription number climbing.
