10 Incredible Death Defying WWE Leaps

6. Rikishi Crushes Val Venis With A Splash Off A Cage At Fully Loaded 2000

WWE.comWWE.comThere are many cage dives that could make a list like this such as the one from Jimmy Snuka over 30 years ago and then more recent ones from the likes of Eddie Guerrero (a Frog Splash), Matt Hardy (a leg drop), Rey Mysterio (a cross body block after his WWE debut) as well as so many others. However, the one that was most incredible involved a 400 pounder. Rikishi was in an Intercontinental Title match against Val Venis as they battled inside of a Steel Cage. A lot of things happened in the match including a ref bump. It looked like Rikishi had things fully in control as he climbed to the top of the cage and stared down at Venis in the ring as he was knocked out. The fans cheered. They knew what he was thinking about it although they probably thought it wasn't possible because of how big he is. Then he jumped and he landed it in impressive fashion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGk1N5hB2HA Looking back on this move, one has to wonder what Venis was thinking as Rikishi stood at the top of that cage. While he likely trusted Rikishi to protect him, this was a dangerous spot when somebody that size is jumping on you. Credit Rikishi for hitting the move safely by landing on his knees. A lot of weight still came crashing down on Venis, but it's still a very risky move that he was able to pull off.
