10 Incredible UFC Fights To Watch In January
5. Josh Emmett Vs. Arnold Allen - UFC Fight Night 166
Anyone who has followed the career of featherweight prospect, Arnold Allen, knows that the 25-year old is probably the biggest dark horse of his division. He's quietly gone an impressive six-fight win streak inside the UFC and looked outstanding in his last fight against MMA legend, Gilbert Melendez. The overall improvement in the Tristar trained fighter's game has been brilliant, but he's just missing the finishes needed to push him over the edge.
His opponent, Josh Emmett, doesn't seem to have that problem as he's proven numerous times in his UFC career that he's a murderous puncher. The power he has in his hands, mixed with his constant in and out movement makes him a terrifying match-up for anyone competing at 145lbs.
If you haven't seen his vicious knockout of Michael Johnson at UFC on ESPN 2, we can't implore you enough to find it and watch it. It's a fantastic example of the type concussive power Emmett wields in his hands. Allen will need to avoid that and utilise his fight IQ to overcome his opponent.
