10 Incredible UFC Fights To Watch In January

4. Junior Dos Santos Vs. Curtis Blaydes - UFC Fight Night 166

You've got to feel a little bit sorry for underrated heavyweight, Curtis Blaydes. Despite smashing his way through a solid number of contenders, he's never been able to get past Francis Ngannou and his insane knockout power. This means he's had to take another route to get a title shot, which has led to this fight against Junior dos Santos.

The former UFC heavyweight champion has knocked out a who's who of opponents during his career, including Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum and Mark Hunt. However, his two losses to Velasquez nearly destroyed him as the Brazilian hasn't been the same since those fights. He still maintains the same devastating power that made him such a fan favourite, but Velasquez's relentless wrestling and overall attack seemingly broke Cigano.

Considering Blaydes has a really good wrestling game, a solid gas tank for big man and vicious ground and pound, he'd be smart to follow the blueprint created by Cain. However, it'll only take one clean punch from dos Santos to end this intriguing match-up quickly.
