10 Incredible WCW Storylines That Never Got Resolved
5. Hulk Hogan Lays Down For Sting
Hulk Hogan was scheduled to challenge Sting for the world heavyweight title at Halloween Havoc 1999. However, the match, in a competitive form, never took place because Hogan came to the ring in his street clothes, whispered in Stings ear and immediately laid down on the canvas and allowed Sting to pin him. This triggered a course of boos from the crowd as there a lot of kids in the audience with their red and yellow signs in support of Hulk Hogan. We were promised an explanation the next night on Nitro and, of course, we never got one. Instead, Sting was stripped of the title for hitting a referee after his unsanctioned loss to Goldberg the night before and a 32-man tournament was announced to crown a new champion.
