10 Incredible Wrestling Title Wins That Led To AWFUL Title Reigns

5. Hulk Hogan (WCW World Title)

WCW thought they'd punched in pro wrestling's 'infinite money' cheat code when they signed Hulk Hogan in 1994. That wouldn't actually come until the nWo bankrolled industry domination, but things started off well for 'Hulkamania'; Hogan won the World Title from Ric Flair amidst much fanfare on Bash At The Beach.

The brother had brothered his way to the top yet again, brother!

Following his acclaimed rematch vs. Flair at Halloween Havoc though, Hulk went on a tour of terrible matches in 1995. His laughably silly feud with the buffoonish Dungeon Of Doom stable became iconically bad, and it only got worse the longer it went on.

Vader's stiff ring work offered an improvement for a few months, but matches vs. The Butcher (Hulk's old pal Ed Leslie) and The Giant were duds. Worst of all, WCW booked a tame disqualification gimmick to excuse Hogan's job at Havoc '95, then vacated the top belt.

469 days of yuck.
