What the flying f*ck was this all about?

Liv Morgan earned her stripes ages before winning Money In The Bank last summer then cashing in on Ronda Rousey the same night. If you feel inclined, go back to watch her performance vs. Becky Lynch from Day 1 in early-2022. That was a star-making match for sure.

WWE never seemed totally comfy presenting Liv as a strong champion though. That's why they scripted a naff finish at SummerSlam - there, Morgan tapped out right as the ref counted Ronda's shoulders down. On TV, Liv defended that and bizarrely claimed she'd bested Rousey definitively.

Fans booed her for that, and the wheels came off her already-shaky reign overnight. Triple H put a stop to the pain train at Extreme Rules by...sticking the belt back on Ronda. What a waste of time, man. Poor Morgan hasn't really recovered from this debacle as an onscreen character since.
