At the end of the day, the most important outcome from the Royal Rumble is whether you win and punch your ticket to WrestleMania.

During its 35-year history, nine men have won the Rumble multiple times, with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin pulling off the feat three times (1997, 1998, 2001), a record. Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, Batista, John Cena, Randy Orton and Edge all have won twice, with Brock having the largest gap between wins, 19 years (2003, 2022).

No woman has won the Rumble twice yet, but considering there have only been five women’s Rumbles so far, that’s not surprising, and it’s bound to change.

Although he’s only won once (2015), Roman Reigns has been runner-up an astonishing four times (2014, 2017, 2018, 2020), with five men tied with two second-place finishes. Charlotte Flair has been runner-up twice, in 2019 and 2022.

Barring another surprise entry from Lesnar, Orton, Cena or Edge, it looks like Austin’s record is safe for another year.
