10 Incredibly Dumb Things That Happen In WWE Every Year

7. Climb The Top Of Hell In A Cell

The entire idea behind Hell in a Cell is that a feud has boiled so hotly that there is no other way to contain it but inside of the infamous structure. No one can get in, they say. No one can get out, they say. Immediately, that tells fans someone is either getting in or out of the cell.

Ever since the first Hell in a Cell match, superstars have either broken in or out of the steel structure. One of the most common spots that has been a bit of an annual sight involves two superstars climbing to the top of the cage, and one of them jumping or falling to their demise.

In 1997, The Undertaker stomped on Shawn Michaels' fingers to cause him to slip off the Cell. However, he was completely outdone by Mick Foley, who decided to go off of the cage twice during the 1998 HIAC in such a dramatic fashion that JR called out, "By God they killed him!" And there have been plenty more HIAC fall victims, such as Rikishi, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins. In 2020, it was Drew McIntyre.

When fans saw the stunt for the first time or even a couple of times, they were left astonished. Nowadays, the fall is such a regular sight (not every year but frequently enough) that some fans might question whether it really hurts. Shane McMahon took one, right?.
