The former Open the Freedom Gate Champion (DGUSA Champion for short) The Whole Shebang is one of the most exciting wrestlers in the indies. His technical submission style is like a cross between Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan and his oblivious heel gimmick in DGUSA and Evolve makes him one of the creepiest and most loathsome characters in wrestling today. With a little extra facial hair, Gargano would even look like Punk a little. Johnny Gargano won the DGUSA Championship in November 2011. This was coincidentally around the same time CM Punk won the WWE Championship and held onto it for 14 months. Well Johnny Gargano managed to hold onto his championship for more than two years before finally losing it during WrestleMania Weekend in New Orleans this year. Should these two ever cross paths, Gargano would miss out on a major opportunity if he didn't call attention to that fact. For all Gargano's in-ring talent he never seems to make the cut when talking about the best wrestlers in the world. Perhaps a match of the year against the former Best in the World can finally get Gargano the respect he deserves.
