10 Indie Stars WWE Must Sign For 2016

Will 2016 be the year WWE finally sign AJ Styles?

This week, reports have surfaced that WWE are heavily interested in further expanding on the NXT brand. On the WWE Network, the show has been a smash-hit with wrestling fans. Going forward, plans are being put in place to tour the brand more regularly. In order to do this, WWE will need a lot more talent than they currently have on their books. The main roster takes care of itself, but there simply aren't enough wrestlers on the NXT roster to sustain a full-time touring schedule. That's where the independent scene comes in, and there's an embarrassment of riches just waiting for WWE to explore. Names like Kevin Owens, Neville, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and even Daniel Bryan were all gleaned from the indies, so there's a good chance WWE will cast their net out again. Promotions such as Lucha Underground and Ring Of Honor are being discussed as potential gold mines. There's also the not-so-small fact that TNA are a struggling brand themselves, so some stars will be ripe for plunder. This article looks at 10 of the top acts on the independent scene that WWE should really be taking a look at, either because they're incredibly talented or would serve to be a good fit for the company.
