Speaking of former WWE stars who are ready for a return, officials need look no further than Drew Galloway. As Drew McIntyre, the Scot promised so much during his first spell in the promotion. It seems personal problems with his ex-wife, Tiffany/Taryn Terrell, cost him the chance to prove himself as a main event talent. A domestic incident between the pair made TMZ headlines, which is rumoured to have irked WWE. After that, Galloway was shunted down the pecking order before surprisingly being released in June, 2014. As soon as that happened, the former WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team Champ told himself that he'd be back stronger someday. On the independent scene, Galloway has been a hit. Working largely for companies such as Evolve and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, he has also helped put Insane Championship Wrestling on the map. The Scottish company has become Galloway's favoured promotion, despite the fact he also plies his trade in TNA. There, the man seems poised to eventually capture the TNA World Title eventually. It's fair to say that Drew deserves another chance in WWE, and he'd return to the company with a renewed focus. Signed when he was only in his early-20's, Galloway would be a much better acquisition this time around.
