10 Indie Stars WWE Must Sign For 2016

6. Johnny Mundo

Most wrestling fans will remember Johnny Mundo as John Morrison in WWE. There was a time when the man was considered a sure fire future World Champion, but he instead decided to leave the promotion in late-2011. There had been rumours of unrest for a while, mainly stemming from the man's up and down relationship with former WWE Diva, Melina. Since departing WWE, Mundo has been excelling without question. Spurning the chance to head to TNA, he has instead been quietly going about his business on the independent scene. Joining Lucha Underground in 2014, the guy has earned rave reviews. Last year, it was reported that WWE officials were interested in bringing back some recognisable names to shore up the roster. Mundo would be ideal, because he's still young enough (at 36) to make his mark. He may have grown disenfranchised by the WWE system, but he's had a sufficient break from it over the past few years. It makes sense that the Mundo name would be discarded, and he'd return as John Morrison. If that were to be the case, he'd be a fine addition to the WWE roster again.
