Tale of the Tape

Cesaro: 6ft 5ins / 242 lbs / 1x WWE US Champion, 5x Raw Tag Team Champion, 2x SmackDown Tag Team Champion

Owen Hart: 5ft 10ins / 227 lbs / 2x WWF Intercontinental Championship, 1x WWF European Champion, 4x WWF Tag Team Champion / King of the Ring 1994

A battle between two men who WWE never catapulted to the front of the pack despite fans' clear demands. Cesaro vs. Owen Hart has the potential not only to steal the show on any single pay-per-view card, but quite possibly the entire calendar year. Even a casual fan watching an Owen or Cesaro match would be perplexed that neither was never a World Champion. Their matches are a pleasure to watch because of the pure mastery of their art.

The death of Owen Hart will likely be the greatest tragedy to ever befall WWE. A career cut short is always difficult to appraise, and it took loss to make many fans appreciate just how gifted Owen was.

For Cesaro, the opportunity to break out of midcard purgatory is still present, whether it is achieved by snatching Vince McMahon's brass ring or a meaty Tony Khan paycheck. Yet, no opponent could facilitate this rise better than the legendary "King of Harts."
