...purely to bury Hulk Hogan.

Listen to the other songs on Randy Savage's hip-hop album.

'I'm Back' is as generic as the genre gets. "When I'm in the streets people still show love / they wanna know what's going on / they wanna know what's up". Those are the lyrics.

Other lyrics, from the rap-metal track 'R U Ready', include "Everybody on the west side, are y'all ready / everybody on the east side, are y'all ready / all my down south peoples, are y'all ready". In the backing verse, somebody - who must be taking the piss - raps "Put your hands in the air, come on, wave 'em like you just don't care".

Savage's flow makes Top Dolla sound like PN News, it is a caricature of the form, and Savage hired a rock outfit to drag the wretched thing over the line.

Savage, incredibly, did not live in the streets when he recorded this album. The charitable take here is that he appropriated culture to make a few quid; the realistic take is that he paid an actual rapper to hand him some "bars", made no effort to not sound like he was appropriating, and recorded an entire album as pretext to bury Hulk Hogan via 'Be A Man' in revenge for Hogan using his vast, malicious political power to hold him down as the #2 guy throughout his runs in the WWF and WCW.

Randy Savage lost money - surely - just to say that he wanted to kick Hogan "in the butt".

...all for Hogan to claim that they'd made friends just before he passed for f*ck's sake!
