1. Killed A Man In Self Defence

In 1983, Scott Hall was working as a bouncer for various nightclubs in the Orlando, Florida area. One evening, Hall experienced one incident which would forever change his life. Accosted by a man wielding a gun, Hall wrestled the firearm from his aggressor and ended up shooting him. Pleading self defence, the future Intercontinental Champion was nonetheless charged with second degree murder. Later, all charges were dropped. There was ruled to be a lack of evidence surrounding the shooting, and Hall was allowed to walk. In a 2011 documentary produced by ESPN, the wrestler expressed regret over the incident, and said it still haunts him to this day. During the same piece, Hall said he feels it was incidents such as this which directly contributed to his heavy abuse of alcohol. The shooting happened years before Scott Hall became involved in the professional wrestling industry. It must have been a hugely traumatic experience for him, and it seems he's never really been able to move on from what happened. It's fair to say that this one moment has caused a lot of reflection, anger and other emotions in the life of Scott Hall.
