10 Insane WWE Superstars Who Should Have Been Committed
2. Kane
The story of Kane is one of the most in-depth and complicated story in WWE history. Introduced as the Undertakers brother, through a secret tryst between Takers mother and Paul Bearer himself, Kane was a physically and psychologically scarred individual. Paul Bearer admitted that Kane grew up in one mental institution after another, and upon arriving in WWE, became a remorseless machine of destruction that pretty much everyone feared. So much so that Vince McMahon actually tried to have him re-committed into a mental institution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpePpynz_Sc In that video, Vince suggests that a mental institution is where he belongs. Though it was meant as an insult, it made a lot of sense in terms of understanding Kanes character. He has buried his brother alive (twice), threatened to set himself on fire, has set Jim Ross on fire, electrocuted Shane McMahons testicles, given Tombstone Piledrivers to Linda McMahon, Lita, a priest, and many others. He truly was a deranged, remorseless force who belonged in an asylum. Considering how dangerous he was, it wasnt surprising to see someone trying to commit him. His insanity and sociopathic violence aside, Kane was also unfortunate to have been part of some of the worst angles and feuds in history. There was the Katie Vick angle, which deserves no explanation. He was also involved in a pregnancy angle with Lita, which turned into a deception on the latters part in aligning with Edge, and the strange feud involving Kane, Paul Bearer and Edge. No These days, he has adopted the Corporate Kane gimmick, looking human and speaking like an intelligent man; a far cry from the days of being the twisted, evil, tortured soul known only as Kane.
