To get value out of Brock's expensive deal, WWE need to book him in major headlining matches. The only real headliner in WWE is John Cena, and the Lesnar vs Cena feud is overdone at this point. The only other major mainstream headline name that could work against Brock would be Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Just take a look at how The Rock lit WWE business up in 2012 and 2013, he's a major draw as the most famous wrestler on the planet. Lesnar is another famous name and the matching of two mainstream stars would be great business for WWE. Indeed, Rock vs Brock was the original plan for 2014. Rock had been scheduled to shoot the angle for it the night after Mania 29, but instead ended up flying home early due to an injury. Plans were then changed and Rock vs Brock never happened. The timing is now right for those plans to be resurrected at WrestleMania 32. The WWE has confirmed that the event will be at the 100,000 capacity Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas. A top draw main event is going to be needed to fill the stadium, and it wouldn't come any bigger than Rock Vs Brock. The story could be that Brock destroyed Rock's cousin Roman Reigns at this year's Mania. The next night on Raw, Rock would turn up to defend his family and set up the Mania 32 angle. It would also play into the narrative that Brock ended Rock's full time WWE career by defeating The Great One at SummerSlam 2002. Would The Rock be up for it? He said the following to FOX 7 in a recent interview-
In Dallas? Possibly. Theres a lot of things that are up in the air. Well see. I would love that rematch. Whatever it is I think that you want to create something that is going to be special, memorable and especially in Dallas at that stadium and you have a shot at breaking the attendance record."
Rock Vs Brock could very well be tentatively pencilled into Lesnar's new WWE deal.
