An unholy union of Lanny Poffo's Genius and Matt Striker's "Your Teacher", Shane Douglas's foray into intellectual gimmickry resulted in the Dean Douglas character, easily the least charismatic Douglas had been since his time as a Dynamic Dude.
Wielding a paddle called "the Board of Education" and grading his opponents and rivals with report cards, Dean Douglas went all in on the professorial character, but never translated those vaunted wits into title success, save for a twenty-minute run as Intercontinental Champion as the meat in a Kliq sandwich.
