10 Interesting Observations From Attending NXT TakeOver: Back To Brooklyn Live
2. A WrestleMania Moment At TakeOver
Finally, it was time for the main event, and as much as the crowd was into the show, this was the bout they came to see. Nakamura was out first, and his entrance involved a violinist playing his theme live. The crowd was blown away by the performance, which was WrestleMania-worthy and helped Nakamura feel like even more of a superstar.
Joe was as determined as ever, but with the ultra-calm and undefeated "King of Strong Style" across the ring from him, something had to give. The hard-hitting affair saw Nakamura kick out of a Muscle Buster and escape a Coquina Clutch, while Joe kicked out from the first Kinshasa thrown. In the end, though, a second one put the champion down, ending Joe's reign and crowning a new king of NXT.
To say the crowd was elated is putting it mildly. Just about everyone in Barclays Center wanted to see Nakamura win the NXT Title, and they weren't disappointed. Many a fan was walking through the streets of Brooklyn humming "The Rising Sun" after the show ended.
