Kurt Angle’s winning streak came to an end at Royal Rumble 2000 as he volunteered to face any mystery opponent.

In the Olympian’s defense, he never expected former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Tazz to make his appearance. The hot New York City crowd sure did, though, as “We Want Tazz” chants rippled throughout Madison Square Garden prior to his entrance.

When Tazz’s trademark black and orange colors appeared on the screen, the fans erupted as their fellow New Yorker and Human Wrecking Machine went right after Angle. After a few nasty suplexes, including one from the top turnbuckle, Tazz locked Angle in the Tazzmission and choked out the Olympic gold medalist.

Sadly, it was the peak of Tazz’s short in-ring career in the WWF, as his small stature left him at a huge disadvantage in the land of the giants.
