Ending up as the final match of Batista's original 2002-2010 run, this wonderfully satisfying bells and whistles match allowed both men to run through their greatest hits from their dual ascension in the company, culminating in an almost comedically devastating finish.

Emerging from the same Ohio Valley Wrestling class in 2002, Batista and John Cena's careers had ran in parallel for years.

Their first great coming together occurred with the controversial botched Royal Rumble 2005 finish, which was rendered largely irrelevant when both would snare their own brand's World Title at Wrestlemania 21 anyway.

But short of a wishy-washy dual babyface angle in 2008, the two never had a sustained feud.

That would change in grand fashion in 2010, when re-badged heel Batista made no secret of his resentment of Cena getting the praise and glory in his place.

After battling it out in so-so matches at Wrestlemania 26 and Extreme Rules, the two let it all hang out at Over The Limit, putting forth a high quality WWE main event brawl akin to The Rock and Steve Austin in 1999.

Batista would hilariously quit WWE the following night whilst confined to a wheelchair and covered in plaster due to his injuries.

Going all-in right to the bitter end, it was a tremendous conclusion to the longstanding rivalry.
