A forgotten gem from a time Cena couldn't buy a friend in the audience, this October 2005 Triple Threat added Shawn Michaels to the existing Kurt Angle/John Cena Title Match through the show's fan voting concept.

Though he found himself in there with two of the very best in the history of the industry, Cena more than held up his end of the match as the three crafted a forgotten classic.

Crucially though, more notable by the conclusion was how Cena finally looked like he belonged amongst his star-studded opponents.

Seemingly working a little keener than he had done in his previous programme with Chris Jericho, he matched the fire and intensity of Michaels and Angle, and in victory would emerge with an aura of a true top star that he'd struggled to nurture once the crowds had started to turn on him.

An impressive follow-up with Angle at the following month's Survivor Series confirmed the elevation, with the two super-workers in Kurt and Shawn bringing Cena to the next level in a way he'd do with countless others in years to come.
