10 Key Numbers Associated With The Royal Rumble

3. Heaviest Royal Rumble Winner (505 - Yokozuna)

When you talk about favorites in the Royal Rumble, the super heavyweight guys today like Big Show and Mark Henry are always talked about as the favorite, even though we know better. Neither has ever won a Royal Rumble, and when you actually look at the list of past Royal Rumble winners, there really is only one super heavyweight on this list. That was Yokozuna who clocked in at 505 pounds when he won the Royal Rumble in 1993. The 1993 Royal Rumble was held at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, CA, and was headlined by Bret Hart defeating Razor Ramon for the WWE Championship The Royal Rumble match went on last and lasted a lengthy 1 hour and 6 minutes. Yokozuna entered the match at #27 and tossed out 7 wrestlers on his way to winning the match. Wrestlers such as Bob Backlund (who was in the match for over an hour), Tatanka, Earthquake, before eliminating the final wrestler, none other than the Macho Man Randy Savage. Yokozuna would be automatically entered into the WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania 9 in the infamous defeat of Bret Hart, followed by Hulk Hogan coming to the ring out of the blue and having an impromptu match that was won by Hogan in only 22 seconds.
