10 Kurt Angle WWE Matches We Must See

4. Kevin Owens

Years and years back, I and many other wrestling fans played a little booking simulation game called TEW. It involved you taking over a promotion and booking all of its shows, pay-per-views, feuds and characters. Almost always I would choose TNA, as they had a fantastic roster and a busy schedule that wasn't insane like WWE's, and wasn't too quiet like almost every other promotion. Bound for Glory is the flagship event of that company, and I would always begin by signing indie stars I loved and then planning my Bound for Glory card. Kurt Angle vs. Kevin Steen was always on that card. Kevin Steen has since become Kevin Owens, but the desire to see the two square off inside the ring remains the same. The styles are obviously different, Owens a little more smash mouth compared to Angle's technical god-like status, but then the two are more similar than first meets the eye. Owens has shown that he can grapple with the best of them, and Angle is no slouch when it comes to a good brawl. As mentioned with Rusev, Owens wouldn't suffer feuding with Angle due to the obsession with protection that had to be the case with John Cena. This feud could only be great for the former Steen. Plus, who doesn't want a Tap Owens Tap shirt?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
