Big Show main eventing WrestleMania 2000 was one of the lamest WWF bookings ever. It made all the sense in the world for Triple H versus The Rock as the main event, in what would have went down as a classic Mania booking. But instead, Big Show and Mick Foley were added to the main event, making it a fatal four way elimination match. The real purpose of this was to do a McMahon in every corner, basically meaning Vince wanted a share of the spotlight. This was the WWF at its very peak, but let down with a main event that lacked any legacy factor. At least Foley was a big name like Hunter and Rock. In contrast, Show had been a disappointment since signing from WCW in 1999. His status as a WrestleMania show closing main eventer is an undeserved one. Reflecting that, he was the first one eliminated from the four way.
