One of the more anticipated midcard bouts at WrestleMania will see Chris Jericho defend the United States Championship against Kevin Owens. During Owens's long reign as Universal Champion, he and Jericho became best friends, but an acrimonious split in February led Jericho to cost Owens the title in his match with Goldberg.

Now the two former friends will face off for Jericho's title. Given that Jericho is 46 and prone to long periods of absence from WWE, it's likely that he'll lose the U.S. Title to Owens before long. However, it doesn't have to be at WrestleMania.

Since Brock Lesnar will be winning the Universal Title and won't be around full-time, the U.S. Title will be the top belt on Raw much of the time. With that in mind, it makes more sense to have Jericho come out on top here, and then do a stipulation rematch in the main event of the next Raw PPV - Payback on April 30. It just makes sense - which means it's certainly not guaranteed.
