2. The Big Show - Punt Kick

For the same reason Seth Rollins' Curb Stomp was consigned to the step in 2015, Randy Orton's violent Punt Kick was taken out of circulation two years prior. Such a simple but potentially lethal move could easily be replicated on the playground, and WWE were understandably anxious to avoid any of the possible outcomes of that fact (those are the pitfalls of promoting family entertainment that revolves around violence to solve conflict).

Orton's RKO is so effective, and soon become so meme-worthy, that few lamented the loss of the punt n the same way Seth Rollins' fans, failing to see the bigger picture, becried the stomp's retirement (though it has since returned, for now).

The Viper confirmed the vicious head kick had been discontinued in an August 2012 Tweet, though he did pull it out one last time against The Big Show at Extreme Rules 2013. That punt was a cunning stunt, indeed.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
