9. Finn Balor Starts A Feud With AJ Styles
The ultimate payoff of the whole storyline with The Club is most likely going to be the main roster debut of Finn Balor, a renewed alliance between Balor, Anderson, and Gallows, and the ouster of AJ Styles. After that The Club will be together as a heel unit, ready to take on Styles, Roman Reigns, and any other babyfaces who get in their way.
The question is whether or not all that will happen at Extreme Rules. Fans really expected (and hoped) to see Balor make his WWE arrival at Payback, but it didn't happen. When a rematch was announced between Reigns and Styles, Newark became the supposed sight of Balor Club's formation.
Still, I'd deem it even less likely to happen this month. The stage may be set for Balor to debut in WWE, but he's still got a lot of unfinished business in NXT. He's the top babyface and the number one contender to the NXT Championship, set to get a crack at Samoa Joe on June 8.
I'd be stunned to see Balor show up as a heel in WWE while still working as a babyface in NXT. The wheels for his eventual debut may be set in motion, but he's not coming up before TakeOver: Revenge.
