10 Least Intimidating WWE Monsters Ever

5. Kamala

A weird one this. Kamala came on to the scene in the 1980s in Memphis as an African cannibal, and during his various stints in the World Wrestling Federation he was a figure of fear, referred to as the 'Ugandan Giant' and accompanied by a 'handler'. Yeah, the WWF wasn't exactly the most politically correct of places.

What's strange about the Kamala character is that he himself always seemed a little afraid of everything. If intended, this could have made Kamala one of the most misunderstood and deep characters in pro wrestling history. He had been manipulated all of this into doing the dirty deeds of others thanks to his size and impressionable nature, stemming from his tough upbringing.

Rather than being a bloodthirsty animal, Kamala was simply doing what he was told for fear of being abandoned once again. His own fear was real, a symptom of his life choices catching up on him. He wasn't a beast, he was just forced to be one.

Either that or he was an overweight dude wearing a loincloth with stars painting on his chest.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
