10 Least Intimidating WWE Monsters Ever

4. Giant Silva

Maybe I'm being too harsh on this big guy, because in truth Giant Silva was never once portrayed as a fearsome monster during his time in the World Wrestling Federation. A former basketball player (even competing in the 1988 Olympics), the Brazilian signed with the WWF in late 1997 and made his way onto WWF TV the following year.

Once there he was a part of the Oddities stable, a collection of big softies that also featured Kurrgan (who was legitimately scary at one point) and Golga (formerly known as Earthquake). The Attitude Era saw the WWF embrace modern popular culture, and by that point psychological fear had overtaken good old fashioned fear of big monsters.

So Silva was a comedy babyface throughout his tenure, but still one that inspired fear in the smaller heels he came up against. In fact, the scariest member of the Oddities, by an absolute country mile, was Luna Vachon. Now she was terrifying.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
