Squires William Regal and David Taylor were set to compete with WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick in a standard tag match at Armageddon 2006, when Teddy Long told the playas to hold on a minute because, since it was close to Christmas, he had a present for the fans.

That 'present' was changing the standard tag match to a ladder match and adding the teams of MNM and the Hardy Boys. Well, that certainly escalated quickly! Regal and Taylor were incensed, and rightfully so, since neither had ever been in one before and the odds were stacked against them.

They spent a great deal of the match trying to keep ladders out of the equation. In a humorous moment, Regal feigned being scared of heights and refused to climb up and grab the titles. It was certainly a bit of much-needed levity in a match that memorably featured Joey Mercury's face exploding when a stunt went horribly wrong.

Regal did get stuck in, however, dropping Paul London with a vicious overhead release suplex onto a ladder and taking a Slice Bread #2 off of it at the finish.
