10 Least Likely WWE Ladder Match Competitors Ever

One of the most peculiar stories of the Attitude Era was the resurgence of Ray 'Big Boss Man' Traylor, who returned to the company after a spell in WCW to act as Vince McMahon and The Corporation's on-screen enforcer. He had a new look, a new attitude and was placed in new matches and scenarios against new talents.

One such match was a ladder match with Mick 'Mankind' Foley on the November 30th 1998 Raw, with the recently-introduced Hardcore Championship on the line. Boss Man may have been an agile big man and was not averse to leaving his feet, but this was a whole new world for him.

He'd never been in a ladder match before, as ladder matches themselves were quite a new phenomenon. They kept it simple and didn't do too many big bumps. In fact, the best 'high spot' of the match was probably Mankind unleashing Mr. Socko as the two were slugging it out atop the ladder.

The match was short (six and a half minutes), as most TV matches were at the time, and Boss Man got the win following interference from The Rock. Traylor would go on to become a staple of the hardcore division for a little while, but this was his only WWE ladder match.
