10 Least Over Wrestlers To Ever Headline WWE WrestleMania
5. Big Show (WrestleMania 2000)
The king of character inconsistency enjoyed his first and only WrestleMania main event at the start of the millennium. Cutting the hair and swapping between heel and face more times than one can count, Big Show felt rather out of place in a Fatal 4-Way with megastars Triple H, The Rock and Mick Foley.
Triple H was the biggest heel in the world in 2000 while The Rock was the biggest babyface. Foley, fresh out of his retirement just a month prior (like the Tom Brady of hardcore wrestling), was a dependable fan favourite as well. Big Show, meanwhile, had meandered through uninspired, middling angles throughout the year prior including a dreary tag team with The Undertaker and having his father's funeral ransacked by Big Boss Man.
The respective pops of the four stars' entrances on the night said it all. Mr No More BS came out to crickets and many believed that Chris Jericho, the original choice for the fourth slot, should've been given the shot instead. Big Show's presentation, including a shirt that said 'Big Nasty B**tard' and that strange arm in the air pose of his that The Rock buried into the next aeon, left a lot to be desired.
The fact that he was eliminated early in the match and repackaged as a comedy guy afterwards said it all. The big man was simply not on the level at the time.
