10 Least Successful WWE Tag Teams Of The Last 20 Years

2. Los Boricuas (Castillo, Estrada, Perez, Vega)

Los Boricuas was a stable of Puerto Rican wrestlers which was born from the ashes of the Nation of Dominion. Following his expulsion from NOD, Savio Vega brought on board three second-generation wrestlers: Miguel Perez Jr. (son of NWA Capitol World Tag Team Champion Miguel Perez), Jose Estrada Jr. (son of legendary WWF Jobbers Jose Estrada) and Jesus Castillo Jr. (son of WWC star Pedro "Huracan" Castillo). Together they formed the new stable "Los Boricuas" with Savio Vega as the established leader. These were the days of the infamous "Gang Wars" where the mostly black Nation of Dominion fought the white Disciples of Apocalypse fought the Hispanic Los Boricuas. In the two years after the stable started in June 1997, the various incarnations of Los Boricuas racked up a less-than-awe-inspiring 11-24-5 record. The team occupied an interesting swatch of time for WWF tag teams allowing them to lose to everyone from 1997's "The New Blackjacks" (Bradshaw & Windham) to 1998's New Midnight Express (Bodacious Bart & Bombastic Bart) to 1999's Oddities (Giant Silva, Kurrgan and Golga). They even lost to different incarnations of the same team such as "Jesse James & Rockabilly" (9/9/97) & "Billy Gunn & Road Dogg" (11/3/97) or "Legion of Doom" (7/28/97, 8/23/97) & "LOD 2000" (3/30/98, 4/27/98). They lost to Too Much (Briain Christopher & Scott Taylor) and they lost to the Headbangers (Thrasher & Mosh). They had an extended feud with DOA which included Chain matches. They did manage to knock off the Godwinns and the Quebecers and took out Kai En Tai. That's not to say that each formation was equally weak: Estrada & Perez were 6-5-1 (54%) Castillo & Vega were 4-6-0 (40%) Vega & Estrada were 2-5-1 (29%) Castillo & Estrada were 4-13-1 (24%) Castillo & Perez were 2-7-1 (22%) Perez & Vega were 2-10-1 (17%) But in the end, a tag team championship was not in the cards for Los Boricuas.
