1. 3MB (Slater, Mahal, Drew McIntyre.. now Hornswoggle)
Ironically, Heath Slater is a three time tag team champion (with Justin Gabriel). Slater came to prominence in the WWE as part of the Original NXT season one cast in 2010. Those NXT rookies made a name for themselves when they dramatically stormed the ring during the 6/7/10 Raw episode and the Nexus was born. Later, when Nexus dissolved Slater would go on to be part of the Corre. Following a wellness violation, Slater began feuding with various WWE Legends (including Sycho Sid, Vader, Roddy Piper, Doink the Clown and DDP). Eventually he lost to Lita at the Raw 1000th episode. With his career prospects tumbling, Slater's employment fortunes improved when he formed an alliance with fellow aimless roster drifters Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre in late September 2012. Scotsman Drew McIntyre first debuted in October 2007 on Smackdown. Within a few months, he was shipped back to OVW for further seasoning and training. In the fall of 2009, McIntyre returned to television with a televised winning streak and by the end of the year he'd managed to win the Intercontinental Championship. Drew was brought back as Vince McMahon's personal project was advertised as a "future world champion", it was high praise but by the middle of the following year, Drew was lost in the shuffle. Vince McMahon was off television (selling an attack from Nexus) and besides a short tag title reign with Cody Rhodes at the end of 2010, 2011 proved that Drew seemed destined for little more than the occasional enhancement match. However, things changed when the three man band came together. Jinder Mahal is a Canadian wrestler of Indian heritage who debuted in April 2011 on Smackdown alongside Giant Khali (and brother/manager Ranjin Singh). Eventually Mahal and Khali split up and feuded. Yawn. Mahal also had short-lived feuds with Ted DiBiase Jr, Ryback and Sheamus but it was clear his character wasn't going far. Luckily, he found some other guys in a similar boat and the trifecta figured out that there was something there should they pool their resources. The team started out on an eight-match win streak. But losing to R-Truth & Team Hell No at the 2012 Tribute to the Troops seemed to have broke 3MB's fighting spirit. They went from a 9-6 televised tag record in 2012 to a 2-41 televised tag record in 2013. Their only victories was as the reuniformed (and renamed) Union Jacks (Drew/Heath) defeating the Prime Time Players on Main Event from Manchester, England and a surprise Saturday Morning Slam victory in March where Drew & Jinder beat about the only two people left on the roster that were even lower on the totem pole: Zach Ryder & Justin Gabriel. Thus far in 2014, they're 1-17-1. They do hold a victory over and a no contest against Los Matadores. Even the addition of Hornswoggle to the group (largely so he can feud with El Torito) hasn't changed their fortune. But even if you're only winning one televised tag match out of twenty, hope springs eternal. When you have a match with all three fellas, their record is 1-24. (December 4, 2012 on Smackdown, 3MB beat Brodus Clay and the Usos). Drew McIntyre & Heath Slater are 2-12. Drew McIntyre & Jinder Mahal are 2-22-1. Health Slater & Drew McIntyre are 7-7 (they defeated Team CoBro - Santino Marella & Zack Ryder - several times).
