10 Legendary Wrestling Records That Should Never Be Broken
9. The Undertaker's WrestleMania Record
Brock Lesnar drew the a curtain on The Undertaker’s incredible WrestleMania winning streak a couple of years ago. Though controversial at the time, it gave Lesnar the perfect platform to become one of the most dominant monsters in WWE history, and the company’s star attraction. In Paul Heyman’s words, Lesnar become “the 1 in 21-1,” and he remains one of WWE’s most important wrestlers because of it.
It’s highly unlikely that anyone will ever come close to matching Taker’s legendary streak. His kind of longevity has become increasingly rare in the wrestling business, and it’d take a once-in-a-lifetime talent such as The Deadman himself to accomplish such a deed. Even such a wrestler does come along, however, Taker’s streak is the defining point of his legacy, and it must never be bettered.
The Streak was eventually broken, but that much was inevitable. As a record, however, The Undertaker’s 21 straight WrestleMania victories will be spoken about longer after his retirement. It’s the most famous record in WrestleMania history, and without it, Taker’s place in wrestling history isn’t completely diminished, but it is certainly dented.
