Premise: Former WWF Champion and all-round purveyor of the eclectic outfit Randy Savage was being phased out as a full-time worker by 1993. The 'Macho Man' was carving a career for himself as a bombastic colour commentator when he suddenly launched into a feud with real-life pal Crush. They ended up working a 'Falls Count Anywhere' match at WrestleMania X.

Why It Was Awful: The WWF totally misunderstood the concept of a 'Falls Count Anywhere' brawl, and the entire feud was a shambling mess that failed to make use of Randy's connection to the audience.

Instead of booking Crush as a dominant monster who would rule the '90s and rub it in Randy's face, the company put Savage on top and melded in some skewed rules that meant each man had 60 seconds to return to the ring after a pinfall decision. It was messy, and the cable-tie, upside-down finish was a miserable failure.

What should've been a launching pad for Crush as a heel ended up being a low point. Legend has it that Randy really wanted a feud with Shawn Michaels; that makes this 'Mania X guff even less tolerable.
