10 Legends WWE Dumped In Awful Feuds

Premise: In yet another rehash of the rebellious wrestler vs. bitter authority figure template Steve Austin and Vince McMahon had perfected over a decade before, WWE put John Cena up against John Laurinaitis in 2012. His surprise win at Over The Limit was supposed to stack heat on 'Big Johnny' for ruining everyone's fun.

Why It Was Awful: Guffawing, clown-around Cena was the worst kind of Cena. Plus, WWE booked their match as a 17-minute pay-per-view main event, and thought a one-sided arse-kicking with some Big Show interference was a fitting end to the night.

The banter between Cena and Laurinaitis was painfully forced on TV too. As much as John L tried his best to be Mr. McMahon from 1998, he lacked true conviction in his promos and Cena just looked like a bully when he booted him around for almost 20 long minutes.

Worse, Show's inclusion was an excuse for WWE to extend the feud between Cena and Laurinaitis for another month or so.
