10 Legitimate Fighters Who Competed In WWE

6. Bobby Lashley

Because he was practically anointed Brock Lesnar's successor by company heads, and because nobody will ever really match the accomplishments of Brock Lesnar in the squared circle, Bobby Lashley's first stint in WWE is regarded by most as something of a failure.

But parallel claims cannot be made of his tenure in Impact Wrestling - from where he recently departed after four world title reigns - nor the time he has spent competing in MMA, a sport in which he currently holds a record of 15 wins from 17 fights.

It's the latter, you figure, that currently makes him such an attractive proposition for Vince McMahon, who reportedly has his heart set on pairing Lashley up with the man he was supposed to replace a decade ago, their paths having yet to cross either in the Octagon or the squared circle.

This should be a big money-spinner for WWE, and rightly so. It's rare that the company has managed to get two legitimate heavyweights to step into the ring at the same time, and though it may not be a five-star wrestling spectacle, it will be interesting to see how they shape up next to one another.
