10 Legitimately Good Acting Performances By Pro Wrestlers In Movies

1. The Rock As Hercules - Hercules

Was there really ever any question? When Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson left the squared circle for Hollywood in 2002, hardly anyone anticipated him achieving as much success as an actor as he did as a wrestler. Granted, it took a while (let's not forget his "Tooth Fairy" phase), but The Rock has superseded everyone's expectations by a country mile. Yes, "Hercules" is cited as an example, but you could essentially replace it with any film he's been a part of for the last 10 years since most of them have been blockbusters. One of his most notable roles in recent years has been as Luke Hobbs in the "Fast & Furious" franchise. He had stellar performances in both "Fast Five" and "Fast & Furious 6" and will be reprising the role in "Fast & Furious 7", set for a 2015 release date. He's also performed well in "Pain & Gain", "Snitch" and most recently "Hercules". Rock takes pride in every role he portrays and dedicates himself to it 100%. That's what has made such a successful actor so far, and there's no doubt he'll continue to do well for himself in the future. Whether any wrestler past or present can come close to making as big of an impact as Rock has on the big screen remains to be seen, but as he proved in WWE, he's always up for a challenge.
