10 Lesser-Known Ridiculous WCW Moments

3. Wrestling Musicians

If you like to watch wrestlers wrestle, it's possible that the end of WCW simply wasn't for you. In the years preceding the company's demise, two separate musical acts became active competitors on the roster.

In 1999, Vampiro teamed up with seminal punk band The Misfits, recruiting them in his feud with Steve Williams and "Oklahoma" (writer Ed Ferrera doing a tasteless impersonation of Jim Ross). The Misfits didn't wrestle... much. On one particularly infamous contest on Nitro, though, longtime bassist Jerry Only actually locked horns with Williams inside a steel cage.

Around the same time, notorious duo Insane Clown Posse were competing in matches, also aligned with Vampiro (although that was typically when Vampiro was a bad guy - this gets tough to follow). The ICP won some matches and lost some matches, but their most memorable moment came on the September 25, 2000 episode of Nitro.

At that show, they took on Mike Awesome in a handicap match, and when Awesome powerbombed Shaggy 2 Dope on the roof of his bus, he kept sliding on the smooth surface and fell off. Oops.
