10 Lessons WWE Can Learn From UFC

7. Female Athletes

The WWE has plenty of female entertainers, but that's all they really are. The mentality is still what it was twenty years ago, to put the girls out there as a side show to the main action. Compare that to the UFC, where arguably their biggest star in the company is a female performer. But even beyond Ronda Rousey, fighters like Miesha Tate are draws for the brand. Then you've got the brilliant Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who is perhaps the most excitingly ruthless fighter in the entire company based on performances in 2015. Thankfully, Dave Meltzer reports that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are looking at Ronda Rousey and wanting to replicate that in the WWE. They've got to know Rousey personally, which has helped them to understand just how big of a star a woman can be in 2015 sports entertainment. Her pay per view numbers are in the 500,000 range, which is something most WWE shows outside of WrestleMania never achieved. Done correctly, someone like Charlotte could well headline WWE shows in the future. She could be WWE's version of Rousey. She's got the look and athleticism that is needed to present a new kind of women's wrestling. As an athlete and a role model, she'd do wonders for the WWE brand.
