10 Lessons WWE Raw Needs To Learn From SmackDown Right Now

Factions are rare on the main roster. Every single one starts out with great promise and very few manage to live up to their potential. The Nexus, The Corre and The League of Nations all crashed and burned. 2020 saw the debut of two new factions on the red brand, with The Hurt Business and RETRIBUTION popping up on our screens.

The Hurt Business started off strong, but have now fallen into a formula that is very repetitive, whereas RETRIBUTION were doomed from the offset. Brought in simply as a ratings mover, RETRIBUTION have fallen further and further down the card, to the point where they are now borderline meaningless.

Roman Reigns' family on SmackDown, though, have been terrific. Roman is a true leader and has a great screen presence. His teaming with Paul Heyman works wonders as well. But what really makes the group click is the addition of Jey Uso. His cocky and arrogant persona blends beautifully with the calm and collected Reigns. Together they have shown that factions still have a place in WWE.

RAW needs to get their factions back on track. Each one features terrific performers and particularly great promos. All they need is motivations and justifications, like the kind we've seen on Friday nights. Then we might finally see some good faction warfare on Monday nights.
