10 Lessons WWE WrestleMania 36 Needs To Learn From WrestleMania 35

9. Bring Back The Big Ladder Match

Your writer routinely looked forward to two things as a child watching WrestleMania.

The absolute spectacles that were the one-of-a-kind entrances on this showpiece night and the almost yearly car-crash ladder masterpieces which had the potential to steal the show on any 'Mania card they were placed on.

Now, ladder matches haven't exactly been woven into the fabric of the Show of Shows and some of the greatest 'Mania cards in history haven't had a ladder match in sight. However, when these chaotic matches have found their way onto the mega show, they've often given otherwise meandering mid-card talents a platform to forge moments that will go down in the event's illustrious history. See: Edge spearing Jeff Hardy in mid-air at 'Mania X-Seven and Shelton Benjamin running up the ladder to clothesline Chris Jericho at 'Mania 21.

Yet, in recent years we've seen these crowd-pleasing clusterf*cks replaced by overloaded tag matches and dreadful battle royals - with 'Mania 35 again proving to be ladder-less.

If you want a way of getting the spotlight firmly on a batch of talented stars which aren't fortunate enough to find themselves in a main event spot, then - as Finn Balor would put it - WWE's future is in its past and the welcome return of the multi-man/woman ladder match would definitely help make those eight hours of 'Mania a little less painful - for the fans that is.
