10 LIES WWE Told You About WrestleMania
When it comes to rewriting WWE history, WrestleMania truly is the Grandest Stage of Them All.

WWE has a long history of embellishing and rewriting events to control its own narratives, especially when it comes to WrestleMania.
The company often presents a version of history that enhances the spectacle, even if it means bending the truth. Watch any WWE documentary and at some point you'll be scratching your head about a story you remember differently.
It's something the company has always done, from saying D-Generation X was just as important as the New World Order, or that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin became the biggest star in the business the moment he uttered the words Austin 3:16, to pretending the company was always going to get the F out and rename itself World Wrestling Entertainment...
If you sift through the garbage, the truth is out there - but when it comes to WrestleMania, there's a lot to work through.
By controlling the narrative, WWE ensures that its version of events is the one that fans remember...or does it?
Wrestling fans don't forget what they've seen, no matter how much WWE might try and brainwash them into thinking otherwise.
10. The Undertaker Vs. Shane McMahon Meant Something

The epic clash between The Undertaker and Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 32 – remember how it was supposed to be a game-changer?
Shane-O-Mac put his body on the line, leaping off the Hell in a Cell, all for the chance to control Monday Night Raw. The stakes were sky-high: if Shane won, he’d take over the red brand; if he lost, he’d be banished from WWE. And let’s not forget the mysterious lockbox that Shane supposedly had, holding some dark secret over Vince McMahon. Let's not speculate on what the contents were...
Despite Shane’s valiant effort and jaw-dropping dive, he lost the match. The Undertaker triumphed, and Shane’s dreams of running Raw were supposedly crushed. But the very next night on Raw, Vince McMahon handed over the reins to Shane anyway. The outcome of the match didn’t matter after all.
All that drama, those promos, the brutal match, and the mysterious lockbox? They ended up being inconsequential. Shane got what he wanted without winning. It’s almost like they had no idea what they were doing.
